LA CANALLA CONDAL is a project that arose out of need. From the need to liberate artistic expression from hard times. When the winds of war were blowing in the street, when intolerance got its boots on, when one started to lose confidence in people who said they represented us. Then came prohibitions and monitoring with the excuse of some exterminating evil.
The streets became hostile and then our bars became refuges and our nights were denser. Music, words and images expressed the impotence and rage of a response that was almost clandestine in being diversion. Smoke, alcohol and essences … We were suffering and not showing it. But we don’t like being kicked.
Now, a couple of years on, the situation hasn’t changed much. Far from making progress in intelligence and well-being, society has opted for opportunism and violence. Our option is art. Aesthetics is our expression. We don’t care where you come from and what language you speak.
LA CANALLA CONDAL brought together a whole heap of creators from different disciplines: writers, poets, painters, architects, musicians, actors, men and women, known to us or not. The idea gelled but the product didn’t get off the ground. The collective broke up in both human and geographic senses. It’s time to take it up again and let it be known.
LA CANALLA CONDAL is not an exhibition. It is an attitude. Our aim is to create a forum that is open to new proposals, ideas, crazy schemes, where creators are free to come to us and participate in making a web page.

LA CANALLA CONDAL és un projecte que va sorgir de la necessitat. De la necessitat d'alliberar l'expressió artística dels mals temps. Quan al carrer bufaven vents de guerra, quan la intolerància es posava les botes, quan es començava a perdre l'esperança en aquells que diuen representar-nos. Llavors van arribar les prohibicions i els controls amb l'excusa d'un mal exterminador.
El carrer es mostrava hostil i llavors els nostres bars es van convertir en refugis i les nits es van fer més denses. Músiques, paraules i imatges expressàven la impotència i la ràbia d'una resposta quasi clandestina en clau de diversió. Fums, alcohols i essències...La processó, com se sol dir, anava per dins. Però no ens agraden els cops de peu...
Han passat uns quants anys i el panorama no ha canviat gens. Lluny de progressar en intel.ligència i benestar la societat ha escollit l'oportunisme i la violència. L'art és la nostra opció. L'estètica la nostra expressió. Tant fa d'on vinguéu i quina llengua parléu...
LA CANALLA CONDAL va aplegar un munt de creadors de diferents disciplines: escriptors, poetes, pintors, arquitectes, músics, actors, homes i dones, coneguts i no. L'idea va cuallar, però el producte va quedar aturat. El col.lectiu es va disgregar. Humanament i geogràficament. És l'hora de reprendre'l i mostrar-lo.
LA CANALLA CONDAL no és una exposició. És una actitud. El nostre propòsit es crear un fòrum obert a propostes, projectes, idees i pensades, on els creadors tinguin la llibertat d'apropar-se i participar en la confecció de la pàgina web.
